1126 – Used urine chemistry analyzer Siemens Clinitek Advantus

750.00 ex.

This used urine chemistry analyzer Siemens Clinitek Advantus is a semi-automated, benchtop analyzer. It is designed to read Siemens Medical Solutions Diagnostics Reagent strips for Urinalysis, such as Multistix 10 SG. The analyzer is a reflectance spectrophotometer that analyzes the color and intensity of the light reflected from the reagent area and reports the results in clinically meaningful units. It automatically reads and interprets strip results every second.

The system originates from a hospital in the Netherlands which closed in 2019. Although we have no accurate details about the history of the instrument, the memory menu reveals that the last tests were conducted in 2012. It was probably produced somewhere in 2010.

During start-up a number of self tests are conducted and passed. Afterwards the ready screen appears and the system is ready for operation. The only possible defect is that the paper feed from the printer doesn’t seem to work properly. Its performance in practice was tested with a Multistix 10 SG strip.

See the Clinitek advantus folder or clinitek-advantus-operator-manual for more info.
