Description
This used Beckman Coulter SCIEX PA 800 Plus capillary electrophoresis system is an automated Pharmaceutical Analysis System designed for the quantitative characterization of proteins, biopharmaceuticals, glycans and other biomolecules.
The PA 800 Plus can be used for applications such as CE-SDS protein purity and molecular-weight analysis, capillary zone electrophoresis, capillary isoelectric focusing for charge-heterogeneity analysis and carbohydrate or glycan profiling. The liquid-cooled capillary system provides accurate separation-temperature control, while the automated sample-handling system supports both sample vials and 96-well plates.
This system was manufactured in December 2012 and is equipped with both a UV detector module and a diode-array detector module. The PDA detector allows wavelength selection across a range of 190 to 600 nm, while the interchangeable detector design provides flexibility for different analytical methods.
Also included is the original USB licence dongle which can be used in combination with a SCIEX PA 800 Plus Empower Driver version 1.3 kit. The driver enables control of the PA 800 Plus through Waters Empower chromatography data software. The USB licence key is required for instrument control and data acquisition. It ought to be easy to implement the system in an organisation which uses Waters Empower for data handling.
The instrument is in good cosmetic condition with normal signs of previous use. We couldn’t test it thoroughly because we don’t have the needed Empower Software.
