This used Qiagen TissueLyser Sample Disruptor Homogenizer provides a highly reproducible, high throughput tissue processor for quality DNA, RNA, miRNA, and protein purification. This Homogenizer can be adapted to suit specific needs and with the right adapters can process up to 192 samples at once. Disruption is carried out with high-speed shaking a variety of adapters, with stainless steel or glass beads. Alternatively, for a high throughput solution, a set of grinding jars can be used for effective large sample processing.
The TissueLyser is ideal for the disruption of human, animal, and plant tissues, bacteria, and yeast at a high throughput level, even with more difficult to lyse tissues. From the upfront dial control panel, users can select their desired speed, between 3-30 Hz /180–1800 oscillations/minute and disruption time between 10 seconds up to 99 minutes. This Bead Mill Homogenizer will hold up to 3 programs in memory through quick access keys, saving time on frequently used protocols.
Unfortunately the plastic cover was damaged during transport to our premises (couriers are terrible) and shows some cracks. We repaired it with glue and the defect is nonfunctional, but it doesn’t look as nice.
