Description
This used ultracentrifuge Airfuge A4 from Beckman Coulter is a benchtop air-driven ultracentrifuge capable of accelerating rotors up to 110 000 rpm (revolutions per minute) in as little as 30 seconds. The instrument uses no vacuum or high-speed bearings; the rotor is supported and turned by streams of air. Rotor speed can be determined by conversion of the applied air pressure, as displayed on the pressure gauge, to rpm.
With the ability to provide a simple, rapid method for removing chylomicrons (fat particles in lipemic samples), the Airfuge Air-Driven Ultracentrifuge delivers accurate results for lipemic clarification. Lipemic samples can be cleaned in 10 minutes, eliminating the need for sendouts.
The used ultracentrifuge Airfuge A4 from Beckman Coulter originates from a hospital laboratory which closed in the spring of 2019. It was well maintained and the next maintenance was scheduled for November 2018. On arrival we tested this used ultracentrifuge Airfuge A4 from Beckman Coulter in our lab and found out that it is still in a good condition.
