2291 – Used MS Noise DBL MS 40 noise reduction box for two vacuum pumps

950.00 ex.

This used MS Noise DBL MS 40 noise reduction box for two vacuum pumps will reduce the noise of these instruments considerably. Laboratories with mass spectrometers and scanning electron microscopes are often annoyingly noisy. The culprit? The ubiquitous vacuum pump, that steadily whines at an irritating 500Hz. Contrary to the claims of vacuum pump manufacturers, technologies are not yet available to produce a truly silent vacuum pump.

The MS Noise solution? A Noise Reduction Box, a specially designed soundproof vacuum pump enclosure made of plastic and special materials to improve noise absorption. Noise reduction boxes, manufactured by MS Noise, reduce vacuum pump noise by half, or 15 dB(A). Decibels are a logarithmic scale, so consider that these vacuum pump enclosures reduce your vacuum pump noise by half, and provide FIVE TIMES more sound suppression than acoustic enclosures that claim to reduce sound by 7 decibels.

The instrument was tested and is in a good operational state.

Features:

  • Accommodate two vacuum pumps
  • Performance: average sound level decrease is – 15 dB(A) (equivalent to a 75% reduction in noise perception)
  • Heat exchange controlled by six internal silent fans 120 m (double ball bearings)
  • Efficient air circulation is guaranteed (about 600 m3/h) while keeping optimal acoustic insulation
  • Easy access for pump servicing and ballast.
  • Easy oil change can be performed.
  • Easy visual check for operation (Green LED)
  • Involuntary power supply disconnection secured (lockable connector)
