1491 – Used Leco RC 612 multiphase C and water analyzer

For sale this used Leco RC 612 multiphase C and water analyzer. The Dutch company who owned it decided to transfer their analysis to a new type of equipment and sold this instrument to us. The Leco instrument was decommissioned after the laboratory finished the last validation experiments for the new equipment.

The instrument is in good condition, as it is still routinely used. The offer includes the shown configuration on the pictures and consists of the Leco RC 612, the autoloader for 50 samples, software and a large number of sample boats. In short a completely operational system.

The offered used Leco RC 612 multiphase C and water analyzer is designed to analyse the carbon and hydrogen content present in various organic and inorganic samples. It is also capable of identifying the source of the element content. It provides a complete data analysis of surface carbon, free carbon, organic carbon, inorganic carbon, carbonate, moisture, and crystalline water. When combusted in an oxidizing atmosphere (O2), most forms of carbon are converted to CO2. In contrast, organic forms of carbon produce both H2O and CO2. The presence of organic carbon may be verified by finding coincident peaks in H2O and CO2. Water and carbonate are detected when the sample is combusted in an inert (N2) atmosphere.
