This is a new Memmert CO2 incubator out of 2023. We bought it “mint in the box” still in the original package. Nice opportunity to get a “new” incubator for a sharp price.
The Memmert CO2 incubator ICO 105 is an high end incubator with various additional features. Because decontamination or disinfection are not sufficient to prevent (cross-) contamination a stored 60-minute sterilization program at 180 °C is installed. It cleans the interior without the need to remove the sensors. A built-in, battery-backed ControlCOCKPIT maintains logging and CO2 control even in the event of a power failure. For maximum safety, the alarm system of the monitoring function sends a message to your cell phone if there are any deviations in the settings and also uses the old proven alarm functions. The heated inner glass door prevents condensation from forming inside the chamber, e.g. when the door is opened, and enables the set temperature to be reached and maintained quickly. Maximum protection of cell and tissue cultures is ensured by heating 6 sides of the interior, thus allowing short recovery times after opening the door. Humidity limitation thanks to a Peltier element; when water dish is full and inserted, the Peltier element limits the value of relative humidity in the interior to 93 % rh +/- 2.5 %
