This used Agilent Cary 60 UV-Vis with SoloVPE spectrophotometer is a complete Variable Pathlength Technology system designed for direct UV-Vis measurement of highly concentrated samples without routine dilution.
The system combines the Agilent Cary 60 UV-Vis spectrophotometer with the C Technologies SoloVPE Variable Pathlength Extension and Dual Use Fiber Optic Coupler. SoloVPE varies the optical pathlength rather than diluting the sample and uses Slope Spectroscopy to determine concentration from multiple absorbance measurements. This technology is particularly suited to protein concentration measurements, biopharmaceutical process development, quality control and other applications involving concentrated samples.
The Cary 60 provides a wavelength range from 190 to 1100 nm and uses a xenon flash lamp with no warm-up requirement. The SoloVPE provides continuously variable optical pathlength control up to 15 mm and is powered and optically integrated through the Cary 60.
The system powers on and is in good physical condition. Unfortunately the required control software is not included, therefore a complete analytical performance test has not been performed. Current Repligen ViPER ANLYTX software is compatible with this generation of SoloVPE hardware when used together with the Agilent Cary 60. Appropriate Agilent Cary WinUV and Repligen software licences must be obtained separately.
