Description
This used Heidolph Rotavac Valve Control Vacuum Pump is a chemical-resistant diaphragm vacuum pump designed for laboratory vacuum applications, especially in combination with rotary evaporators and vacuum-controlled distillation systems. The pump is suitable for solvent evaporation, vacuum filtration, degassing, drying, concentration work and general laboratory vacuum supply.
The Rotavac Valve Control is a two-stage diaphragm pump with chemically resistant wetted parts and is designed for reliable oil-free vacuum generation. It can be used with valve-operated or manual vacuum controllers and is suitable for integration with compatible Heidolph rotary evaporator systems. The pump has a compact benchtop design, hose connections for inlet and outlet and a robust laboratory housing.
This unit starts and runs correctly and is in working condition. A rough vacuum/pressure check carried out using an older long gas hose with visible cracks, so the ultimate vacuum performance according to manufacturer specifications under ideal conditions could not be reached. However, the 13 mbar reading is close enough to conclude that the pump is in a good state.
