Microwave technologie is een belangrijk hulpmiddel om ontsluitingsreacties te versnellen in een temperatuur-en druk gecontroleerde omgeving. Een van de meest voorkomende toepassingen is het voorbereiden\/destrueren van monsters voorafgaand aan AAS, ICP en ICP-MS analyses.\u00a0Een ander veelvoorkomende toepassing is het uitvoeren van moeilijke extracties, zoals bijvoorbeeld vet uit kaas.<\/p>\n<p>In beide gevallen geldt dat de traditionele werkwijzen zeer arbeidsintensief en tijdrovend zijn en er grote hoeveelheden oplosmiddelen nodig zijn. Het gebruik van de MLS mikrowelle \u00b5prep kan dan een aanzienlijke kostenbesparing opleveren omdat:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>een analist tegelijk simultaan meerdere monsters kan opwerken.<\/li>\n<li>de combinatie van hoge druk en temperatuur een versnelde extractie\/destructie geeft.<\/li>\n<li>er minder oplosmiddelen nodig zijn.<\/li>\n<li>de herhaalbaarheid van een gesloten systeem beter is dan van een verwarmingsplaat<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Bovendien is het apparaat gebruiksvriendelijk, robuust en \u00e9\u00e9n van de veiligste manier om monsters in voor te bereiden. Met behulp van de meegeleverde Terminal 320 monitor is het mogelijk om het programma\u2019s tot in detail\u00a0aan te passen. Bij de mikrowelle wordt een HPR-1000\/10 rotor meegeleverd. Deze rotor is bestand tegen druk van ca. 60 bar en is voor temperaturen boven de 250 \u00b0C.
